Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated October 6, 2026

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses TinyPing.

In plain English

Your own sites, your clients' sites with their permission. Not a competitor's, not a stranger's.

1. Monitor only what you are allowed to

You may only monitor systems you own, operate, or have the owner's permission to monitor. You must not use TinyPing to scan, probe or map networks, to test for vulnerabilities, or to reach internal, private or cloud metadata addresses. We block such addresses and may suspend accounts that try to get around this.

In plain English

TinyPing is a smoke alarm, not a battering ram.

2. No attacks or load testing

You must not use monitors to overload, disrupt or degrade any system, including by creating many monitors against one target, or to perform load or stress testing.

In plain English

Alerts are for people who asked for them. That is why recipients confirm first.

3. No spam through alerts

You must not use alert channels to send unsolicited messages, to harass anyone, or to deliver content unrelated to monitoring. Do not put misleading, offensive or unlawful content in monitor names or other fields that appear in alerts.

In plain English

Do not try to break in, get around the limits, or resell TinyPing without talking to us.

4. Respect the platform

  • No attempts to access other customers' data or to bypass authentication, plan limits or security controls.
  • No automated sign-ups or sharing of accounts to avoid paying for capacity.
  • No reselling or white-labelling the service without our written agreement.

In plain English

We pause the problem first and talk to you. Serious or repeated abuse ends the account. Report abuse to [email protected].

5. What happens if this policy is broken

We may pause monitors, disable alert channels, or suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy, usually after notice and with a chance to fix the issue, or immediately where needed to stop harm. Report suspected abuse, including checks against your systems you did not authorise, to [email protected].
